Books
Writing! Prose! Works of linguistic intrigue.
It should be noted that my book backlog is very long, and I’ve actually read an awful lot. Once I have time to go through the backlog and hopefully spot a bunch of books I’ve read which aren’t represented, I’ll be sure to update this…
A Song of Ice and Fire
Artemis Fowl
I adored this series in Primary School.
Black Butler
His Dark Materials
Percy Jackson
... What can I say? I was a child with a strong fascination for Greco-Roman mythology. I *loved* this series.
The Hobbit
The Iliad
The Inheritance Cycle
I really loved this series and the world of Alagaësia in late Primary / early High School. At some point I do intend to go back and read Murtagh, plus maybe reread the entire series.
The Kane Chronicles
I've always been drawn more to Ancient Greek mythology, but admittedly this series did actually draw me towards Egyptian mythology for a while during High School; a typical Riordan style, it does characterise the mythology really nicely.
The Kingkiller Chronicles
The Name of the Wind; The Wise Man's Fear; The Slow Regard of Silent Things; and The Narrow Road Between Desires. I do not look forward to the endless wait for The Doors of Stone...
